Call for Presenters 2019
Limmud Chicago + MW
You are invited to apply to be a presenter at Limmud Chicago + MW 2019!
What is Limmud Chicago + MW?
Limmud Chicago + MW is a volunteer run retreat that celebrates Jewish thought, arts, culture, life, learning and teaching. Participants come from a wide variety of Jewish backgrounds. Limmud is a transformational Jewish learning platform, connecting Jews of all backgrounds and ages, giving them the opportunity to learn from one another and celebrate Jewish community. The Limmud model is built on the premise that everyone has something to learn and everyone has something to share.
Where and when are Limmud Chicago + MW?
Limmud Chicago + MW will take place at the Perlstein Retreat Center in Lake Delton, WI from November 15-17, 2019.
What does it mean to be a Limmud presenter?
A Limmud presenter is both a teacher and participant. As a presenter, you will offer an interactive session on a topic of Jewish interest—cultural, religious, geographic, or political. Any topic that has a Jewish connection is fair game: pop culture, literature, music, film, history.
Before and after your session, you are expected to participate in sessions throughout the retreat as a member of the Limmud learning community. Limmud Chicago + MW is entirely volunteer run and is not for profit. Presenters are not paid.
How do I apply to be a presenter?
The presenter application will open on July 1st, 2019. We will accept proposals on a rolling basis until our schedule is filled. No proposals will be accepted after September 30th, 2019.
Visit https://limmudchi.wufoo.com/forms to submit a presenter application. Follow the directions available on the website. After your session proposal is accepted, all presenters must then immediately register as conference participants, if they have not already done so. Check the website and facebook for details.
